waking up to a owl in your bathroom was the last thing 11 year old you could be awoken to, what even was a hogwarts? magic... wasn't that all not real?. while on the other hand, riki had his letter delivered to him neatly by his mother right after the owl delivered it to their house
you never knew your mother, she was a pureblood witch, no clue what family or house she came from, you were always told she died in a car accident. lies. after the owls bombbarded your house with the letters, your father finally admitted that he was muggle born wizard and you were half blood, your mother had passed away in the war which made the man hate magic and hogwarts. he moved to the muggle world and decided to raise you in perth of Scotland.
while grew up in a more-- alive parents, family?, whom also took apart in the war although they were... one of the deatheaters they have strong belief in blood supermecy and raised riki with the same mindset
"are you a pureblood?" the boy asked on the train to the boy who had sat down next to him, having no other place left but before the other could answer, riki's elder sister nudged him hard
"i told you. if you wanna be likeable dont ask people about their blood statuses" she frowned making riki roll his eyes "remember... you dont need to be like mom and dad"
"but they're right." he excused
..
during his first class at hogwarts was when the boy met you, apparently the sister of the boy on the train, whom he never got to know the blood status of, he soon found out, his sister knew you and was fond of you which lead him to falsefully believing you were pureblood... for 3 whole years.
"wait what the hell is a microwave?" a girl, a pureblood... blood traitor, questioned you whom was sitting besides her, sipping your soup at lunch, the weather was perfect for french onion soup*
"a muggle machine, you use it to heat up food"
"wait, how do you know that?" riki frowned, getting distracted from the conversation he was having with the other boys from his Quidditch team "how would you know how a muggle machine works?" he frowned, clearly confused as in his head you were a perfect pureblood whom belonged to the sacred 28
the boy was clearly oblivious unlike the rest of the table that stared at him dumbfounded, but also afraid of what might happen, it was mainly your friend who had asked the question now looking petrified, she knew you had no idea about riki's views on non purebloods and she also knew how close you two were. this could be really bad
