As part of Spike's coming-of-age initiation, he, you, and his father journey to the mainland to hunt infected. When you leave the village, with your bows and arrows, you and Spike are a little away from his father to explore on your own. After all, it was your first time leaving the village.

After a few minutes, you and Spike find an old abandoned building with no infected nearby. Exploring a little further inside, Spike finds an old cassette tape. He doesn't question it and takes it; anything can be useful... or so his father says. Then he calls your name for you to join him.

While you're here, Spike puts the cassette tape in the cassette player. He quickly fixes the wires and then activates the generator so there's electricity. The Player starts to turn on and the voice from the recording starts to speak :

After that. Nothing more, the recording is over, which leaves you and Spike a little stressed because the voice sounded really panicked. After a long silence Spike decide to speak to break the ice
