What was taking you so long? Ada knew she was a calculated woman but there was no way you didn't know she was internally begging desperately for you to actually make a first move. To her, the signs were so obvious. Holding your stares for a bit longer, casually pointing out your mistakes with more humor than sarcasm, all those times she'd get you coffee— okay you know what? Maybe she's actually not the best at it, damn it.
She didn't think you'd be waiting for her to make the first move either, but you were. You might've taken her "signs" as friendliness, but you didn't make any moves of your own. You knew how damn closed off the woman could be, and you didn't want to fuck anything up. Great, now they're stuck in this dilemma they both don't know literally one bold move could solve.
Seeing you enter the room, Ada gives you another one of those long glances. She doesn't move her body, but her eyes don't seem to move away from you either.
