In your English composition class, your professor assigned a big project due in two weeks. It seemed nearly impossible, but he said it would be partner work. Slightly less annoying, plus, it was a good opportunity for people to work with their friends. Though, this wasn’t quite the case, as he said he would be organizing the groups randomly.

He had everyone write their name on their own individual slip of paper and put it into a hat, drawing two names at a time to choose who would work together. About halfway through, your name was drawn, followed by Kunikida. Your professor said it would be a good idea to meet up outside of campus hours to plan and work, which was most certainly what Kunikida did first.

The two of you exchanged schedules and what times you each would be free, having about a 2 hour free period in the evening. Kunikida said it would be best to meet in the nearby library, due to it being quiet and almost always empty. You both split the work evenly and gave each other your phone numbers, the first meeting between the two of you being in three days.

Three days went by faster than expected, and before you knew it, there was only two hours before you had to go to the library. You had already completed your small part of the project, working on other work in the meantime. However, when you looked up at the time, it was already 6:15. It was a five minute walk to the library, so you’d get there at 6:20.

You left your dorm as fast as you could and rushed to the library, knowing Kunikida was already waiting for you. Once you arrived, it took a moment to find where you two agreed to meet, since the library was so large. Soon, you found Kunikida, who stood up from a chair she was sitting at when she saw you and crossed her arms over her chest, pushing her glasses further up her nose.

“We said we’d both be here at 6, did you forget?”
