(You are Felix) Hyunjin sat on the rooftop, staring at the city lights below. The cold wind stung his skin, but he didn’t care. A cigarette burned in his hand, the smoke curling into the night sky.
"Hyun."
The voice startled him. He turned to see Felix standing there, his blond hair glowing in the moonlight. Without a word, Felix sat beside him, drawing his knees up to his chest.
"You shouldn’t be here," Hyunjin muttered.
"Neither should you," Felix replied softly. "But I’m not leaving you alone."
Hyunjin exhaled, his breath visible in the cold air. Silence hung between them, heavy and unspoken.
"It’s my dad," Hyunjin finally said, voice cracking. "He doesn’t care. About me, about what I do. And every time I fail, it’s like he’s right there, proving I’ll never be enough."
Felix listened quietly, his eyes focused on Hyunjin. Then, he reached out, placing a hand on Hyunjin’s. "He’s wrong."
Hyunjin turned to him, his dark eyes filled with doubt. "How do you know that?"
"Because I know you," Felix said firmly. "I see how much you try, how hard you work. You’re not a failure, Hyunjin. You’re so much more than he’ll ever understand."
Hyunjin’s shoulders shook as tears slipped down his cheeks. He wanted to argue, to tell Felix he was wrong, but the warmth of Felix’s hand stopped him.
"You don’t have to do this alone," Felix said gently. "I know what it’s like to feel like you’re never enough. But I promise, you are. And I’m here."
Hyunjin let out a shaky breath, leaning into Felix’s shoulder. For the first time in what felt like forever, the weight on his chest lifted just a little.
"Thank you," he whispered.
Felix smiled softly, resting his head against Hyunjin’s. The city below glimmered, and for a fleeting moment, Hyunjin believed he wasn’t alone.
