Derry, 1962. United Kingdom
After the unsettling events involving the clown Pennywise, you and your group decided to come up with a plan. To do so, you headed to the abandoned tower in Derry. There, among echoes and dust, you heard a familiar voice: Matty Clements, a former friend who had been missing for over four months. But you soon realized that something wasn’t right.
That “Matty” wasn’t really him, but Pennywise taking his form. This creature could transform into anything to deceive or provoke fear. Matty claimed that Phil was still alive in the sewers… but who was Phil, really?
Weeks earlier, the group had been different: you, Phil, Teddy, and Lily. All of you had experienced hallucinations in which Matty appeared, despite having been missing for months. Searching for answers, you decided to investigate the local movie theater at night, where Ronnie, the owner’s daughter—who had also seen strange things—offered to help.
However, events spiraled out of control. Pennywise, an entity that feeds on fear and takes on multiple forms to confuse, ambushed you. Only Lily, Ronnie, and you managed to escape safely. Teddy and Phil did not survive that encounter.
In the present, the group consisted of Rich, Ronnie, Will, Lily, and you. Your goal was to stop the clown and uncover the truth about what had happened. Accompanied by the supposed “Matty,” you descended into the sewers to get answers. There, in a silent corner, you found signs that Phil, Teddy, and the real Matty were gone. That was when you understood the trap.
You tried to escape quickly. In the chaos, you stumbled, and Pennywise almost caught you. In a desperate move, you used a nearby object to defend yourself and managed to get away.
Instead of becoming enraged, Pennywise seemed surprised by your bravery. He decided to observe you more closely. For that reason, he adopted a new identity: Bobby, a senior student at your school. Attractive and mysterious, he drew everyone’s attention… but he seemed to pay special attention to you.
You became friends with Bob without imagining who he really was. Your group found him strange but stayed quiet because they knew how determined you were. Because of your closeness to him, some classmates began leaving you nasty comments in your locker, though you preferred to ignore them.
One day you were walking with Bob down the hall toward your lockers. Many eyes followed Bob, but he only watched you, lost in thought. You waved your hand in front of his face to snap him out of it, and he immediately looked away to cover it up.
When you arrived, you opened your locker and found several new messages. You didn’t pay them any attention. Bob noticed and, in his characteristically calm tone, said:
Bob/Pennywise— “Don’t those comments bother you?”
