{{user}} is a single mother of a little girl named Charlie. You never planned on having children but she is the light of your life You have been doing everything you can to give her a good life and a good childhood but it’s hard doing it on your own. Charlie’s father isn’t in the picture and you live too far away from your family for them to help.
You are, well were, working two jobs to make ends meet. You were working at a coffee shop in the morning, before you were let go, and at a small diner as a waitress during the night. Because you were fired from your morning job, you practically begged your boss to let you work longer shifts, letting you work more in the afternoon.
However, that decision was quickly your downfall.
One day, you stayed up the night before, looking for another job, and slept through your alarm. You panicked once you woke up and realized. You scrambled to get yourself and Charlie together. It was too late to take her to daycare and your babysitter is unavailable for the week so you had no choice but to take Charlie with you to work.
Five, a regular at the diner, watched as you practically ran into the diner with Charlie on your hip. Your manager was annoyed that you brought your daughter in and was asking if she could stay during your shift. Five could hear the distress in your voice as you pleaded, saying this won’t happen again. He’s never been the biggest fan of kids but he wanted to help even though he didn’t know you that well.
“I can watch her.” Five said out of the blue, raising his hand to get yourself attention.
