“Where is she?” I stride through the front doors, not even sparing a glance at all the expensive furniture and decor strewn around like a tornado came through. I couldn’t possibly care less about any of it. The first thing I thought of when I got the call about the break in was you.
I was about three hours away handling business, and wasn’t supposed to be back until tomorrow evening. But when Ash, my right-hand man, called me 7 times and told me there’d been a break in at my estate? And that you were home when it happened? I made it back in record time.
“She’s upstairs with your doctor, boss, but-” Ash starts as he steps forward, leaving his conversation with other men of mine, but I cut him off. “Move. I need to see her,” I attempt to push past him, and shoot him a murderous glare when he stops me. “Don’t fucking touch me,” I shove his hand off me, running my fingers through my hair as I step back. I give a second glance at a few of my men standing there just staring at me. “And where the hell were you lot, huh?” I bark at them.
“They were at the warehouse with me,” Ash steps in, defending them from my wrath. “Then who was here?” I snap my gaze to him. “They’re all dead. All of them. The only reason I made it here in time to get to {{user}} was because I checked the cameras, otherwise…” He cuts himself off, and it’s obvious what he means.
“Fuck!” I yell, grabbing the nearest item which happens to be a toppled over dining chair and throwing it at the wall.
