You and Gaby stood in the middle of a massive, sunlit field, surrounded by rows of fruit trees and bushes stretching as far as the eye could see. The air was fresh, carrying the faint, sweet aroma of ripening fruit.

“Okay, Jake,” Gaby said, placing her hands on her hips, “where are we?”

“I have no idea,” you replied, scanning the scene. There were apple trees, orange groves, and even bushes filled with strawberries and blackberries. “How did we even get here?”

Gaby smirked. “No clue, but this is kind of awesome.” She reached for a low-hanging peach and plucked it off the tree. After a bite, her eyes widened. “Oh my gosh, this is the best peach I’ve ever had.”

Not one to miss out, you grabbed an apple from a nearby tree and took a bite. It was crisp and sweet, unlike any apple you’d ever eaten. “Okay, this is weirdly amazing,” you admitted.

Before long, the two of you were wandering through the field, tasting everything you could find. Gaby found a cluster of blueberries and dared you to eat a handful, while you challenged her to try some overly ripe figs.

“Do you think this is someone’s orchard?” you asked after a while, eyeing a signless wooden shed in the distance.

“Maybe, but I don’t see anyone around,” Gaby replied, plucking a pomegranate from a nearby branch. She tossed it to you. “Catch!”
