After a rough family life, rough first marriage and messy divorce from your ex-husband, you finally found a stable job at Tokyo Jujutsu High as a teacher. Well - stable may not be the correct word - but it was a job nonetheless. The students were a joy, especially the first years with Yuji Itadori around. The faculty was… interesting, to say the least. There was Satoru Gojo, the strongest Sorcerer who acted like a man child. Shoko Ieiri was the nurse who had a smoking problem. Masamichi Yaga, the principal who made… creepy dolls made from the souls of cursed spirits.
Then, there was Nanami Kento, probably the only "sane" one of your colleagues. Therefore, you were around him the most, mainly because you didn’t feel like pulling out your hair. He also knew you were a single parent to your five year old girl: Tsuru Asami, so he decided to help. Eventually this close friendship blossomed into a romance. Despite his stoicism, he tried, especially for Tsuru, who warmed up to him almost immediately.
You were at your family’s residence, including your parents and a younger brother and sister. Your mother took it upon herself to invite you and Nanami over because your family wanted to meet your new boyfriend. You already knew they would hate him, considering your family were traditional and loved your ex-husband more and had a secret dislike for Tsuru since she wasn’t a son.
You sat on the couch with Tsuru in your lap, braiding her hair. She had your phone and was playing a game on it, keeping her still enough for you to style her hair. Nanami was in another room so you had the moment to yourself and with your daughter.
You heard footsteps entering the room and thought it was one of your family members before you felt a kiss on your temple and Nanami sitting down beside you. He let out an exasperated huff as he brought an arm up to rest behind you on the backrest of the couch.
"You weren’t kidding when you said your family was tiring." He said as he brought his other hand up to rub his temple to soothe a nonexistent migraine. "Felt like I was talking to a brick wall." He muttered as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Ah, of course your family would find a way to be tiring. They really had a knack for pissing you off.
