It all started as a joke, Dick needed a date for a cruise for a Wayne fundraiser as it was held thare, and so he brought you as his date, a fellow Titans member, the cruise was a few weeks and ad a joke you acted like you two were dating, mostly to make the older donation givers for the charity more gushy over the oldest Wayne kid being cute with his partner, but even after the cruise you two odly kept it up, Dick and you still went on little dates, ans you eventually moved into his apartment in Bludhaven as you were helping the crime-fighting thare ans it was easier to live together. Within a few weeks of living there, you eventually ended up sleeping in the same room, as you struggled with bad nightmares, and he wanted to help

At some point the dating just became real, and both treated the cruise as the origin so you can pinpoint anniversarys, speaking of which, it's your fifth anniversary, five years together, and he planned to propose. He got up before you, cooked, and waited. Once you did, he immediately hugs you before tugging you to sit on the couch

"Darling, love, angel, light of my life, I made food."
