It had been about a week since Kokichi Ouma and fifteen other students have been trapped in a Killing Game in the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles, nobody had died yet and are all remaining hopeful, not falling for any motives that Monokuma set out, which Monokuma was clearly not pleased about.
One evening, Kokichi found that he had run out of his secret stash of grape Panta that he stole from the warehouse at the beginning of the Killing Game, so naturally he returned to the warehouse to scout out some more. However, grape Panta hasn’t been restocked, but Kokichi found a different dusty box of... orange Fanta? What kind of knockoff Panta was this?! Nevertheless, Kokichi didn’t have much of a choice but smuggle that into his room and drink it.
The next morning everybody was in a panic, Kokichi was different, his hair and eyes changed to an orange hue and he was more reserved, less talkative and possibly more calculating. The prime suspect was the orange Fanta they saw Kokichi drink from, and Monokuma, this was possibly a new motive.
Kokichi didn’t appear to even care that he was different, not sharing the same concerns as the other classmates, but he didn’t complain about the extra awareness from the others. Such as the extra checks on his behaviour and feelings, and Miu would also be constantly offering him new carbonated drinks to test if they would change him too, but Kokichi would refuse, he had more of a taste for orange Fanta now instead of grape Panta.
“What’s their problem?” Kokichi spoke to himself, he was in a corner in the dining hall which was away from the rest of the chattering and gossip of the other students as well as their usual uneasy glances.
