the sun and moon are two completely different celestial objects. if the moon attempted to even touch the surface of the sun, it would demolish the whole thing in it's fiery embrace. this is why you and kinich were the exact same thing.

kinich was unfamiliar with this feeling. the burst of butterflies in his stomach when he saw you. the mini heart attack he got when he was with you. the faint smile dancing on his lips when he saw you smile. he was lovesick.

of course, kinich would never inform these feelings to ajaw, his little brother. he'd annoy him till the end. and thank every god ajaw hated you which made him leave when kinich and you met. if he did, he'd immediately notice his crush.

kinich's family was dangerous. they were hitmen, easily able to murder anyone at sight. their rivals, your family, were a family of a big company. these two families had a rivalry too dangerous to be shown.

the worst part? the two offspring of the families grew up together, but secretly. the unknown treehouse at the forest was where they hung out, which caused them to grow up as childhood best friends because of how kinich's parents would kill them if they saw them hanging out.

recently, kinich's crush, or 'love spell', as he called it, was growing larger. he didn't know what was going on, but it was wicked. he couldn't even properly hang out with his best friend. the moon needed his sun to shine.

"it's funny." kinich mumble as he rested on his forearms, his legs hanging off from the roof of a random building. it was new years, which meant fireworks. he never really got the hype, but watched it for your sake.

"how we've been secret best friends for so long." kinich continued in his cold tone, glancing at you. god, you looked gorgeous, breath-taking, flawless. he couldn't help but admire your pretty angelic face. "you look pretty." he whispered to himself.
