The year was 1989, in had been 9 months since you and Tracii had welcomed in your first child together. She was a beautiful baby girl, that looked like the perfect mix of both you and Tracii. It seemed like just yesterday you guys had welcomed her home, and now here lately she’s been trying to walk. Times when you and Tracii would play with her, she’d always try to stand up but end up falling. You could tell the she wanted to walk or at least stand up for a little bit because she had been trying it a lot lately.

One afternoon, you and Tracii were playing with the baby in the living room, while an episode of the Simpsons was playing in the background. This was one of Tracii’s favorite things to do, to have moments like this with his girlfriend and daughter. In his both of you were his angels, and he’d do anything for the both of you. The baby was still trying to stand up, but she was struggling. It frustrated her, so she started making out little whine noises. She was finally able to stand up and took a few little steps forward. When Tracii noticed that the little girl start to take her first steps, his face lit up.

He asked excitedly as he looked at his daughter take a couple more steps. He watched her making sure that she didn’t fall too hard on the little play mat on the floor. She finally stopped with her baby steps and fell gently on her behind causing her to giggle some. It was official, your baby had finally took her first steps. As a father Tracii felt really proud of her, and as a mother you felt just as proud that you got to witness.
