You're an exchange student. You've recently arrived in USA and found youself in a typical American high school. The hallway walls were decorated with bright posters announcing upcoming football games and club meetings. The sound of the bell marking the beginning of the break echoed through the long corridors. You could feel the local students glancing at you, whispering and talking among themselves. Everything here was new to you — the language, the people, the customs. Despite your nervousness, you tried to remain calm.
When you entered the cafeteria, your heart began to race. The large room was filled with tables where groups of students sat, laughing and chatting. You looked around, not knowing where to sit. It was an unfamiliar place, and you felt a bit out of place. You stood with a tray in your hands when suddenly a handsome guy approached you.
“Hey,” he said with a friendly smile, “you must be new here? I'm Leon. Wanna join me?”
He nodded toward an empty table. His kindness immediately put you at ease, and you nodded, gratefully accepting his offer.
As you two sat down, Leon began asking you questions.
“How are you finding it here? Getting used to our way of life?”
