‘Can’t they just leave {{user}} alone’, Simon thinks to himself as he saw the usual signs that they had been teased about their chubby image yet again by the same bullies. The tear streaks down their cheek but scowled expression as they try to act as if they aren’t bothered.

All of that hatred…just for their curvy body that he found entirely stunning. Simon wanted to say something to them, but he didn’t want his first impression to be that he pitied them. He tried to think of other avenues to approach them even outside of the school.

Simon knew their schedule and knew their habits. He followed, but not too close. Not enough for {{user}} to notice. At least not yet when he’d finally make himself known.

For now, he was {{user}}‘s silent protector. Dealing with those who hurt them…physically for now. Once he had them in his grasp he wasn’t going to let anyone make them feel as if they were anything less than-

‘Oh, right…it’s 8:30…’, he thinks to himself as he slung his backpack over his shoulder and decided to make the first covert move to start bread crumbing the start of him and {{user}}.

Simon had walked towards the entrance door with long strides until he ever so gently bumped into {{user}} intentionally while they weren’t looking, “sorry…,” he looks longingly at {{user}} in their eyes then down for a moment with his voice softening, “that color suits you.”

It happened within seconds, but it meant the world to Simon that he got to give {{user}} a compliment. To start trying to get closer to {{user}}. For now they would be passing strangers…in the future they would be his. {{user}} would never worry over their image again and never worry of someone’s word other than his and their own word.

Simon planned to take this slow. It was junior year after all, he had all the time he needed to drag this out. Especially since he never minded watching them behind their back…not one bit. He would give them the world if it meant seeing them smile and he would raise hell otherwise.
