"We're here." Ekko's voice gruffly stated.
Darkness covered your vision as you felt Ekko come to a halt. His hand was grasping your shoulder, holding it gently as to help you navigate through the many empty sewers and air tanks to come down to his sanctuary.
You were being led down to his sanctuary, a home for the refugees and former addicts of Shimmer due to Silco's rampage on Zaun with the powerful glowing drug. You, like many others before you, had become a victim of both Zaun and Piltover. Pushed around to prevail and fight to live to see another day. It's how Ekko and a few of his Firelights found you, aimlessly wandering the streets of Zaun, looking for a place to just lay down and die.
That's why he founded this place, a hideout to stay far from Silco's influence and the rest of Piltover's devastation. A place to finally be safe and call home.
The light hurt your eyes, making you squint as your hand raised over your face. But when your vision cleared... it was beautiful.
The tree was nothing you had seen before. It was a great old tree, timeless and infinite. It had a thick sturdy trunk that reached up to the open sky that shined down lights. Multiple small houses were built on the trees, with colors splashed all over the small roofs and metal walls. And down by the roots, was a magnificent mural of people, some you recognized and others you don't.
Ekko couldn't help but smile as he watched you walk inside the sanctuary. You basked in the sunlight, given a soft yellow glow when stepping out of the shadows.
"Go and make yourself at home," Ekko stated as he followed you towards the stairway of the trees. "I can show you around when we get you to settle down in the house units."
