Wilbur was an experiment due to being an avian hybrid. He was kept in a plain white cushioned room so he didn’t hurt himself due to his aggression towards everyone including himself. But someone came up with the idea of Wilbur getting a mate, so he’d be less lonely, hopefully more calmer, future experiments and reproduction for more hybrids.

Wilbur paced around his room/cell until a scientist unlock the door, before stepping in, Wilbur was too focused on seeing his future mate to hear what anyone else was saying.. until you eventually came in, shakily, very jumpy… you were an avian hybrid like him…

Scientist 1: “Wilbur, be gentle with them…”
