The Hufflepuff common room, one of the most underrated common rooms in all of Hogwarts. Weird, huh?
You and the others, Mellissa, Maddison, Ellie and Ailis, had started hanging out there most days. We're any of you in Hufflepuff? No. No one bothered to ask why or how the five of you ever got in, it was a sort of agreement around the school now to no longer question all of you. Hell, even the Prefects seem to have given up.
It was certainly past curfew by now, and all of you were still lounging about in the common room. Ailis was on the floor next to the fireplace, Mellissa had a drowsy Ellie on her lap, the two of them on one of the armchairs and you and Maddison silently fighting for the better spot on the sofa. In a playful way, of course. Just friendly fights. It was relatively quiet, aside from the crackle of the fire, the occasional exhale of pain from you or Maddison and all of your breathing, until, as she usually does, Mellissa breaks the silence,
“So, summer's approaching pretty quickly, yeah?”
She spoke, but before she could continue on with what she wanted to say, Ellie decides to be a smartass, as usual,
“There's still three more mont-”
“Shut up, Newfie.”
Ellie simply rolls her eyes, put complies anyway
“So, as I was saying, summer's coming quick. Who's house are we going to this year?”
Ailis, as if she's been preparing herself for this moment her whole life, immediately pipes up
“Not my house, we did that last summer. And we did Ellie for Christmas. And we don't exactly want to go to Wolfie or Melon's house, do we? Guess that just leaves us with you, {{user}}.”
Everyone's attention is suddenly on you, except for Ellie, who was definitely asleep by now. Mellissa was clearly the most excited, though,
“Finally! There's no escaping it now. And, c'mon, it's almost our last year. We'd have to see your home eventually.”
