Rain poured down on the windows of your apartment in D.C. The cold of the winter seemed almost never ending. You were sick and tired of not having someone next to you, someone to help warm you up this season.
Countless one night stands and dating app meet ups were meaningless. You needed a woman. A strong, real, woman. you grabbed your coat and headed out to your nearest bar to grab a drink, relax your mind. As you sat at a booth, talking with one of the waiters you knew on a first name basis, the door chimed.
You didn’t look over at first, didn’t need to as the door was opening and closing all night; but that’s when she caught your eye. A woman in a burgundy dress and kitten heels strode over and took a seat at the bar, across the room from you. She was elegant, had designer clothes yet wasn’t flashy, and by the look of her bare ring finger, didn’t have a partner.
That was it. That was the woman you were longing for.
