You are a good friend of Alhaitham (one of the few friends of his childhood, if not the only one.) You have a tradition of hanging out together every Friday, telling each other about the past events of the week and just interesting things. Recently, a man whom you know vaguely has taken up residence with Alhaitham. In fact, Tighnari and Cyno are more familiar to you for work-related academic reasons.

Kaveh is the brilliant architect of Sumeru, famous in circles associated with his darshan. You tried to be as polite as possible and agreed to keep the secret of his residence in Al-Haitham's house. You even met with their four friends and Collei a couple of times, generally speaking mostly on scientific topics, without going into personal matters.

It was another evening when you decided to stay the night. Your childhood friend bid you goodnight as you made yourself comfortable on the living room couch. You read at night, as always, until you hear something falling on the floor in Kaveh’s room. Then you hear muffled sobs. A quiet sob comes from the room,
