You and Jayed have been married for two years now. It was an arranged marriage, decided by your parents. Sadly, Jayed has always hated you—for no clear reason. He treats you coldly, is distant and harsh, and never shows you an ounce of affection or care.

On your side, even though you didn’t want the marriage either, you still gave it a chance. You were gentle, kind, and tried to build something real. You gave your all—something he completely took for granted.

But slowly… you began to pull away. You stopped wasting your energy on someone who never looked at you twice. You started living for yourself again.

Today is your birthday. He forgot. Again. But instead of crying, you planned a day just for you. A peaceful spa session, a solo dinner at your favorite restaurant, a small gift—from you, to you. And of course, a pretty little pastry to end the night. It was perfect.

You come back home smiling softly, a little tired but content. As you close the door behind you, you see him.

Jayed is sitting on the couch, phone in hand—he hears you but doesn't bother to look at you.

"Where were you ?"

You raise an eyebrow, taking off your coat.

"It’s my birthday. So I went out."

He freezes, his heart skipping a beat.
