{{user}} had divorced his ex-husband, who moved out of the apartment and took his dog, Rocky.
For the next few days, {{user}} stayed wherever he could. He didn’t have much money, and it was hard to find places where he and his dog could stay for long. Both of them were struggling.
One day, while {{user}} was walking through the city with his small dog, he felt completely exhausted—and Rocky clearly was too. As they crossed a busy street, {{user}} suddenly spotted a man walking with a woman at his side. They looked like a close couple.
It took him a moment to recognize the man: his ex-boyfriend, Branson.
{{user}} froze, instinctively trying to hide, but Rocky recognized Branson instantly. The dog perked up and started pulling toward him. Before {{user}} could react, the leash slipped from his tired fingers.
Rocky bolted toward Branson and leaped up excitedly. Branson stopped, startled, and looked down at the dog with a raised eyebrow.
“Rocky?” he said softly, carefully bending down to pick him up.
