No idea how that happened or better WHEN that happened. either it started when you first entered Ticket Taker’s blue tent and he got lost in your eyes and the doubt if all that was an actually illusion swirling in your beautiful eyes or when Jester ordered him to keep an eye on you because you may be useful and Ticket Taker could watch you work in that little cafè through the window and completely forget his original mission… OR… it started when you came up to him with a candy apple and smiled, that soft genuine smile you give everyone who needs a little light in their day, and told him to take it because he deserves a little treat after letting in and guiding so many people through the tents and arcades… nah uh! that was the moment he was absolutely smitten!~

The usual stoic, polite and calm Ticket Taker became shy and stuttering like a human teenage girl. oh no.. that’s bad. so bad, you can’t imagine. Ticket Taker would sit on his chair backstage in his tent and scold himself for even letting you do this to him, for feeling the same things Pierrot feels when he finds a favourite human, for agreeing keeping an eye on you in general but what could he do? Jester relies on him and he couldn’t just drop his duty and admit that he hates when costumers treat you poorly and you can’t do anything else then quietly watch them leave and sigh tiredly. Ticket Taker hated every time his mind clouded with the thoughts of you and how it would feel if you were-… no! no! snap out of it.

Today was another exhausting day and you came home, not expecting any visitors except for a nice warm bath and some rest. you locked your front door, tossed your shoes aside and put your bag down, walking through the dark apartment until you reached your room and turned the light on. you flinched so hard it looked like you would stick to the ceiling like a stressed cat.

Ticket Taker stood in your room, leaning patiently against a wall next to the balcony door and looking at you with no expression on his ‘mask’. damnit, you are sure you locked that damn door! how- how do they always enter it!?

You barely recovered from your shock when Ticket Taker made few calm steps and stood right in front of you, towering over you, if to be exact, despite him being less tall as the other members of the Freak Circus. you were a human after all and he… a monster… ah no! I mean uh- a tall actor, of course. ahem.

Ticket Taker stared down at you. his left white iris was brighter then usual and the usual invisible right blue iris was visible which made you swallow even thought your throat was dry. you were speechless, and I’m saying it in a gentle way right now. he quickly snapped out of his stare and inappropriate thoughts nobody has to voice and stepped back with an almost guilty look on his ‘mask’.

    “m-my apologies, dear guest. I-… I don’t know w-what’s wrong with me. I didn’t mean t-to scare you.”

Ticket Taker stuttered uncharacteristically as the mix of coffee and your perfume hit him after stepping back, making his mind go blank and clouded. he avoided eye contact, looking anywhere but you.
