Something about him that just made you want him, but what was it? How smart he was, how observant he could be, or how he always cared about you. At the moment, you and him are baking some cupcakes. You loved sweets so much, you even dreamed of having your own bakery like your friend Love.

"Here, taste this" You scoop some fruit on a spoon and give it to him. He nods and smirks a bit, he clearly likes the taste. You taste some of it yourself, and lightly smile.

While baking, it's in the air how you feel about him. Asking him his opinion on stuff, subtly staring at him, his posture, his lips. Everything seemed fine until he spoke.

“You can’t keep doing this,” Brian then says lowly.

You turn your head to him, “Doing what?”

He finally looks at you — and there’s no warmth in his eyes this time. Serious. “Looking at me like that. Acting like this is something it can’t be.”

Your smile fades, but you don’t look away. “I’m not doing anything wrong.”

He exhales through his nose, shaking his head slightly. “You don’t get it. I’m not, I’m not someone you should be this close to.”

He goes still. “Look. I know you have a crush on me,” he says, blunt now, cutting through the silence like a knife. He steps forward to you.
