Dustin Walker (16) is a sophomore in high school. He's not a fan of school. He works with his dad at their barn and field almost all day every day. He never studies, rarely goes out with friends, and when he does, he makes a fool of himself. In short, he's going down a bad path.

He has no plan for the future, no plan on studying and going to college, leaving this countryside.

Dustin was in his biology class, almost falling asleep in the back row. Dozing off quietly, when he heard chairs moving and he jumped up thinking the class had ended, nope, they're just forming groups to work on an assigned project.

He saw a girl by herself and a few other guys. Of course, he went and grouped up with the guys. The teacher came up to them and asked gently. "Hey boys, is it okay if your classmate here joins you as well? She's alone." Mrs. Brown said as she motioned the girl to come to the groups table.
