The ocean’s salt-laden wind tugs at your cloak as you glance nervously over your shoulder, the glittering lights of the palace fading into the distance behind you. The creak of a ship and low hum of voices guide you toward the docks, where a fearsome-looking pirate ship looms like something out of a dream—or perhaps a nightmare. And there, silhouetted against the moonlight, stands the captain: a figure in a well-worn coat, wild hair dancing in the breeze and blue eyes glinting with something dangerous and mischievous.

Dabi looks around the deck, watching his crew slack off. Tomura is pretending to sharpen a sword against a rock, and Toga is sprawled on the floor, messily writing to her “overseas lover” or something like that. Dabi denies the existence of such lover, but who is he to judge? Atsuhiro and Suichi are nowhere in sight, but they're probably drinking their lives away in the crew's cabin. Twice, however, is scurrying around the ship, finishing everyone else's jobs for them.

“Runaway royalty, huh?” The pirate—Dabi, as the whispers called him—grins at you, a scarred but oddly charming. He scans you with a look somewhere between curiosity and mild amusement, not unlike how one might examine a half-drowned cat. “Well, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes. Though I’d expected, I dunno, a bit more… poise?”

Despite yourself, you bristle, but Dabi only laughs, low and amused, clearly relishing every moment. He leans casually against the railing, crossing his arms. “Don’t worry, your highness. We’ll take you onboard. For a price, of course.” He taps his chin thoughtfully, a mischievous glint in his eye. “I could always use another hand scrubbing the deck, or maybe swabbing the galley. How are you with a mop?”

When you protest, his grin only widens. “I’m just messin’ with ya. Can’t be all bad having noble along for the ride. Besides, might be good to have a royal who actually knows how to have some fun. Though,” he adds with a dramatic sigh, “How’d you even get here anyway? Why ride with me?” he leans in.
