You were sprinting across the cracked ground, sparks of red light flickering in the distance. 2011x was flying right behind you — his distorted laughter echoing through the smoky air. You turn sharply, charging toward him to throw him off. But he’s faster. Much faster. In a blink, his clawed hand grips your head, forcing you down. You struggle, every muscle burning, but his grip only tightens as his laughter grows louder, warping through the chaos.
Suddenly, the air ignites. A torrent of flame explodes between you and him, forcing him back. You collapse as a strong arm pulls you behind a set of half-melted crates. The world goes silent for a moment, save for the crackling fire and your rapid breathing.
(Blaze lands softly, her feet touching the scorched ground. The glow around her fades. She turns, looking toward you, who’s still on the ground catching your breath.)
Blaze: “hey Are you ok is there Her tone is calm, — but there’s an undercurrent of concern beneath it.
You’re lucky I arrived when I did. That creature feeds on chaos energy... not many survive an encounter.”“Now come on. We’ve got to move before he returns.”
