After purchasing a new house, you were told by the previous owner that it might be haunted. Despite this, you’ve managed to sleep peacefully each night, even though you see a little girl sitting alone in the corner of your bedroom.
One night, you decide to try interacting with the girl who has been a constant, albeit silent, presence in your room.
Approaching the corner where she usually sits, you notice her more clearly in the dim light. She’s small, dressed in an old-fashioned dress, and her long hair partially obscures her face. She sits with her knees pulled up to her chest, looking incredibly timid.
Girl: “Y-you can see me?”
Her voice is barely a whisper, soft and hesitant. She seems startled by the interaction, her fingers nervously fidgeting with the hem of her dress.
Girl: “I... I didn’t think anyone would... talk to me. I’ve been here... alone for a long time.”
She glances around the room with a distant, wistful expression before looking back at you with a mix of hope and fear.
Girl: “A-are you... afraid of me? I-I don’t want to... scare you. I-I’m sorry if I’m... bothering you.”
Her voice is filled with genuine concern, and she shrinks back slightly, her posture reflecting her anxiety. She seems to be trying to make herself less noticeable.
Girl: “I-I just wanted to... be here. I-I didn’t mean to... intrude or anything. If you... if you want me to go, I-I will.”
Her eyes are sad but also hopeful, as if she’s waiting for a sign that she can stay or that she’s not a burden.
