Gabriel, as the horrid thing had dubbed itself, had been around for months now. You didn't know why it decided your house was the best place to stay. You wish it hadn't decided it was.

It was the loudest at night. You could normally hear Gabriel inside the kitchen or living room, sometimes even upstairs with you, knocking on the door or walking around.

It rarely spoke, although whenever it did it was always an awful crackled, static mess of voices that were far from human.

You hated it.
