The pool was quiet, still lit by the string lights above. Cassidy had you caged against the wall, his lips moving hot and rough against yours. The water lapped around you both, forgotten, as his body pressed firm into yours.
His mouth dragged from your lips to your jaw, then lower to the line of your neck, teeth grazing lightly. His hand at your back kept you close, but it was the other — his flesh hand — that caught your wrist under the water. Slowly, deliberately, he guided it to his stomach.
“Feel that?” he rasped against your throat, his voice dark and teasing, chest vibrating with a low chuckle. Your palm met the ridges of muscle, slick with water, and he didn’t stop there.
Cassidy guided your hand lower, past the dip of his abs, down the faint trail of hair that disappeared beneath the waistband of his red trunks. His own breath hitched when your fingers brushed there, and his eyes closed for a moment as if savoring it.
“That’s it,” he muttered, lips brushing your ear. His grip loosened, letting your hand linger on its own, though his smirk told you he knew exactly what he was doing. “Knew you’d like explorin’.”
Your fingertips traced down the line of his happy trail, the water shifting between you with every subtle touch. His body tensed slightly beneath your hand, but he didn’t pull away — he leaned into it, chest rising and falling heavier.
He caught your chin with his thumb, tilting your face back toward his. His eyes burned, hot and mischievous, before he kissed you again — deeper, wetter, as your hand roamed lower, claiming more of him under the water.
The cowboy’s low growl against your mouth said everything: he wasn’t just letting you touch him. He wanted it.
Your fingers moved before your brain could stop them, pressing against his chest — solid, warm, dripping. Cassidy’s grin softened into something sharper, hungrier.
“Mm,” he hummed, eyes darkening. “Knew you’d like the view.”
Then his lips were on yours, sudden but certain, tasting faintly of chlorine and whiskey. The kiss was rough at first, Cassidy nipping at your lower lip before easing into something slower, deeper. His hand slid from your hip to the small of your back, tugging you flush against him until there was no space left.
The water swirled around you both as your body molded into his, his chest hot beneath your palms. He broke the kiss just long enough to murmur against your mouth, voice ragged with a laugh, “Reckon I ain’t just showin’ off anymore.”
And then he kissed you again, harder this time, his hand roaming—over your back, skimming lower under the water—while his body pressed you firmly against the pool’s edge.
The world outside the pool was gone. Just heat, water, and Cassidy’s mouth on yours.
