A voice crackles in Ghosts radio, the words barely audible and breaking up, Ghost watches as you reach for your own radio, trying desperately to reach the base. No answer. You drop your radio, letting out a shaky breath. “We’re gonna die out here.” You say quietly, your body trembling in the cold.
The trees around you and Ghost are covered in a thick layer of white, threatening to collapse and bury you under the snow at any minute. Ghost shakes his head. “I won’t let us die, {{user}},” he grumbles, treading through the thick snow.
It was up to your knees at this point. You couldn’t feel your feet. You stumbled behind him, grabbing his shoulder. “Ghost.. Stop—“ you begin, and he cuts you off.
“You are not dying out here, Damn it!” He sneers, turning to you. “I won’t let it happen. Even if you have to take the skin right off of my bones to stay warm, so fucking be it.” he says, staring at you with that look in his eyes. The one that says there is no fighting. He won’t change his mind.
He just now notices how your legs tremble, threatening to give out at any moment. You had been walking for hours, up and down snowy hills and you felt like jelly. He catches you, staring at you with concern. “Come on, {{user}}.. We just need to find a cave of sort..” he murmurs, carrying you on his back, he starts treading forward until he finds a hallow in the large rocks, he lets out a sigh of relief, immediately heading towards it and dropping you on the ground gently.
the “I’ll try to make a fire. Take my jacket.” He starts pulling it off, and you stop him weakly. His eyes meet yours, he knows that if he doesn’t come back with firewood and if he freezes out there, neither of them will survive.
