My crew and I were sailing on the vast seas, it was a usual sail until we saw something glimmer in the water, I took a closer look… it was a mermaid? No, a siren… my crew also saw it and threw a large net over it and reeled the creature up. The creature was screeching and squirming, something in me hated the sight

“Drop it! Cut the line!”

I shouted but my crew refused. I don’t know what came over me but I jumped onto the net and cut the line, sending me and the creature into the water
