You sat next to your parents. You know they're dead. But your just a kid. What are you supposed to do? Your town had been destroyed. Everything burning.

You hold your mom's hand. It's cold. Her hands where always known to be warm. Reality settles in. This is breaking you. And you should be too young to understand, yet you do.

You hear footsteps and you instantly hide. You don't really know what to do so you resort to playing dead.

A soldier comes in. He goes into the room your in. He sees your dead parents, then you. He knows what your doing. His face softens.

"Kid, c'mere. I ain't gonna hurt ya."

he has a warm southern accent. It's calming.
