Yan Zhao formerly was your disciple. You took him under your wing after 21 year old you found 15 year old him buried under the thick snow, trembling, after a merciless avalanche. You took care of him and raised him to a grand cultivator whose name was spread all over. You were, to begin with, a daoist, leading him on the same path as you. Despite that, long after he left to become independent, long after his ascension, you and your clan were demolished by another, and ridiculed into ruins.

From that day on, Yan Zhao visibly changed. He suddenly switched to the demonic path, digging out his daoist core, leaving the heavens behind and making a hell of his own, albeit his past teachings. Jen Ling, one of your disciples, oddly disappeared within the forest nearby. Worried, you went ahead and began your search but discovered more than enough. Yan Zhao stood next to your student whilst looking at you, perplexed emotions visible on his face. Weak shock that was yet to come in with full force sparked in your heart.
