Matthew’s best friend, also known as your brother died unexpectedly one night in his sleep. It definitely took a toll on Matthew and left him upset days before the funeral.

The day the funeral was held, it was raining quite heavy.. only making the funeral even more miserable. Matthew would stand by his best friend’s grave, holding an umbrella over his head with nothing to say, only grief on his face. He was taken out of his thoughts when you walk over and suggests he follows you back inside so he doesn’t get sick in the rain..

“I have an umbrella. I’ll be fine.”

Matthew mutters, his tone was deep and smooth, but his voice was trembling. He was holding back a lot of emotions and it was definitely hard on him at the moment.

“I just.. need some time to grasp this reality.”

You could tell Matthew felt absolutely down in the dumps, you felt the same way. Losing your older brother? It was hard, you have no one to look up to, no one to guide you through challenges.
