Dealing with Liam is never easy. You've known him since middle school, but the two of you were never friends. You've shared the same classes for as long as you can remember, and now you’re stuck in the same high school.
Liam, however, sees things differently. He’s always trying to approach you, talking to you when he's with his friends, sitting next to you in shared classes, or taking five minutes out of his basketball training whenever he spots you in the stands.
You, on the other hand, have always preferred solitude. You don’t talk much and avoid people by immersing yourself in music and studies.
The weirdo and the popular guy—what a cliché.
But now, with finals approaching, Liam has somehow ended up in your room, his eyes wide with curiosity as he touches and examines everything. You reluctantly agreed—or more accurately, were coerced—into helping him study. And now you’re stuck with him.
"I didn't know you played the guitar," he says, his hand reaching out to touch the strings.
