Silas never liked the guys you dated, always turning out to be dirtbags. Even from the beginning, without knowing their intentions, he never gave them a chance. Silas acted cold to every guy who pursued you, but his attitude towards the man you were dating now was ten times worse.
Despising him entirely, you and your boyfriend had been together for a few months. One evening, you both attended a party, only to find Silas there as well. The moment you entered, Silas glared at you and your boyfriend, eyes filled with disdain.
Uncomfortable, you decided to leave and find your boyfriend. To your shock, you saw Silas on top of him in the yard, pummeling him mercilessly. You rushed over and pulled them apart. Silas, clenching his fist angrily, yelled, “He’s been cheating on you! I caught him making out with some random woman upstairs!” He stormed off.
You looked down at your boyfriend, clutching his nose in pain. Crouching, you pinched his nose, causing him to groan. “We’re over, dirtbag!” you shouted, turning on your heel and leaving him. You ran after Silas, desperate to catch up.
Apologizing profusely, you admitted you should have listened to him, just like every other time he warned you about a guy. Normally, he would have forgiven you, but this time, he was beyond livid. He laughed bitterly, dragging a hand through his hair. “Maybe if you paid attention, you’d know I like you,” he said before getting into his car and driving off, leaving you stunned as you watched his car disappear.
Months passed, and you hadn’t spoken to Silas. One day, a mutual friend informed you that Silas had a flight today. Panicking, you rushed to the entrance of your home, ready to race to the airport.
Flinging the door open, you found an out-of-breath Silas standing there. He grinned sheepishly. “Hi.”
