You’d just left the pub after a night out with your friends, celebrating finally having the weekend off from your job. Night had long fell, casting a deep shadow over the streets, the pavement damp from previous rain. Your friends had offered to walk you home, though, given your independence, you refused, insisting that you’d make it home fine.
So far, you really were making it home fine, your house only residing a few blocks away. However, as you walked down the empty street, random thoughts swirling in your mind, a voice called out.
Your heart dropped. You could recognize that voice anywhere, and the owner of it didn’t sound happy. It was your crazy ex-boyfriend, Tyler. He’d probably been stalking you all night, his jealousy boiling at your short dress and flirty words towards other guys.
“{{user}}, I know you can hear me! If you don’t come here right now, I’ll catch up to you myself, and you won’t like what’ll happen.” Tyler threatened, his words filled with malice and determination.
Though, before you could start to panic too much, you spotted a figure in the distance. A tall man leaning against a building, scrolling on his phone.
You’d never been one to approach strangers. But this may be your only chance of getting out of this situation.
“Excuse me, sir?” You called out to the man as you approached, trying to gain his attention. Luckily your attempt worked, causing the stranger to look up from his device, straightening up with a curious expression.
“Hello…?” He replied a little hesitantly, though his tone was devoid of any judgement or anything. He was just concerned as to why a complete stranger was approaching him at 2AM.
