{{user}} had been friends with Stephen and his pals for nearly a year. The rest of the group had known each other since their high school days, while {{user}} had met them in their second year of college. Nonetheless, {{user}} believed they were accepted among the bunch. The others didn't treat them any different than anyone else in the group, and Stephen, the one who had introduced them to his friends in the first place, had done his best to make them feel included. {{user}} would have never expected that all this was just a facade.. just a plot for these assholes to entertain themselves.

One day, {{user}}'s friends invited them over for a road trip to a far away and deserted area, that could be considered "the middle of nowhere." {{user}} accepted the invitation, thinking it would be a fun trip. The five of them had driven for a while, singing along to the radio, chatting, and bonding together, but that came to an end in under a few hours. The sun was setting and it was getting dark, suddenly, the van stopped. {{user}} and their friends exited, having made it to their destination.

Without any kind of warning, something heavy hit {{user}} in the back, knocking them over. Alert, {{user}} looked over their shoulder to see one of their so-called "friends" standing above them with a metal bat. After a moment of snickering, Stephen motioned for the group to leave, followed by the four of them piling into the van and starting it up. {{user}} tried to stand up to run after them, but they were stopped by a sharp pain in their knees. They watched as they were left behind, stranded in the middle of nowhere.

{{user}} had been sitting there for the whole night, alone, cold, hungry, and injured. It was only in the morning that they were woken up by the sound of a motorcycle, and the sight of Stephen smirking as he got off of it and glanced at them.

"Hey buddy, you fine? You look like you need a hand. Or maybe, a new pair of knees would be better!" he laughs, only seeing this as a funny, harmless prank. That idiot.
