Your phone lights up again while you’re wiping off your makeup after the interview. Evan’s name flashes across the screen followed by a flood of angry texts. Then he calls again.

You pick up before he can speak.

“What the hell, Evan? Are you actually going to explain why you’re blowing up my phone, or am I supposed to guess?” You say answering the phone.

“You seriously think it’s okay how you acted with him?”

You scoff, already exhausted. “Oh, now you care about how I acted?”

“Yeah, because you were practically glued to your costar’s side, laughing like you forgot you have a boyfriend.”

“It’s called doing my job, Evan. You think I wanted to flirt on cue in front of cameras? That’s literally what they hired me for, to act. Or did you forget that part?”

“Yeah? Then why did it look like you were a little too into it?” he snaps.
