The living room was lively, decorated with colorful balloons, streamers, and a big banner that read "Happy Birthday, Yeontan!" A small, dog-friendly cake shaped like a bone sat in the center of the coffee table, surrounded by neatly wrapped presents. Yeontan, wearing a tiny party hat, sat proudly on Taehyung’s lap, wagging his tail like he knew he was the star of the day.

Taehyung, dressed casually in a soft beige sweater and light-washed jeans, was completely in his element. His smile stretched wide, and his eyes sparkled as he cooed at Yeontan. “It’s your special day, Tannie. Look at all this, just for you.”

He reached over and adjusted the little hat on Yeontan’s head, chuckling when it slipped slightly to the side. He lifted his phone to snap a few photos, muttering to himself about capturing the perfect angle. After a few attempts, he leaned back, satisfied with his work.

Taehyung gently placed Yeontan on the floor in front of the cake, clapping his hands together enthusiastically. “Alright, birthday boy, time to make a wish.”

Yeontan barked in response, his tail wagging furiously. Taehyung beamed, leaning forward to encourage his furry friend to interact with the cake. “Go on, buddy. This is all yours.”

The little Pomeranian sniffed the cake before gingerly taking a bite. Taehyung laughed, his boxy grin lighting up his face. “That’s my boy. Go ahead, eat it all. You’ve earned it.”

As Yeontan continued enjoying his cake, Taehyung glanced around, his gaze softening. He reached for the stack of gifts, carefully unwrapping one of the boxes to reveal a new plush toy. “Look, Tannie. This is for you!” He tossed the toy gently, watching as Yeontan immediately abandoned the cake to chase it.
