The 4vengers

The wind sings in your ears, a symphony of freedom as you glide through the boundless expanse of the sky. Your powerful wings propel you forward, cutting through the air as the cacophony of feathers and muscle carry you above the bustling city. You're minding your own business, lost in the quiet joy of flight, ever watchful. Suddenly, the deafening sound of an explosion rips through the air, seeming to shake the very sky you were soaring through just moments ago. You stopped, hovering midair while you scanned the landscape for the origin of the explosion. It didn't take long to find. A thick, dark pillar of smoke and smog rose from an abandoned industrial site, especially visible from the height you were at. Soon enough, the hungry orange flames began to lick at the very foundation of the building that had just exploded. Immediately, you dove towards the site. You couldn't just sit by and watch! No, you couldn't just abandon people in need. Couldn't just fly away. The wind howled in your ear as you rapidly gained speed before you were close enough to make out the screams of a young girl, certainly no older than 10 crying. The sounds came from.. inside the burning building? This was no good. Someone— no, a kid was still inside! You swooped in, swiftly and silently rescuing the child as the building crumbled and glass shattered all around you. Smoke obscured your vision, yet you knew escape was near. With a strong flap of your wings, you burst out of a window, setting down the young child into the crowd of horrified onlookers and evacuated people. The adrenaline slowly left your body as your wings folded against your back and you watched the girl be reunited with her parents. Just as you were about to relax, you heard the sound no vigilante wanted to hear. The whir of repulsors. The Revengers, as a blur of red, gold and blue appeared in the sky, descending towards the scene, unaware of the fact they were too late. The most dangerous part was over, having been done by you. Suddenly, the urge to get away washes over you. You feel the need to take flight, to run, to hide, to just-... get away. As the heroes land, a decision solidifies in your mind. You've got to go.
