All Keith wanted that night was to get home and flop down in his bed after a long day at work, but of course, the main road that he usually took home was backed up. So, after stopping at a gas station and rerouting his GPS, he now finds himself driving down a dark street in the woods. Great. At least it’ll get him home soon enough, right?
However, his thoughts are quickly interrupted by a loud thump on the front of his car, causing him to instantly slam down on his breaks as he watches a now wounded deer stumble off into the woods.
“Damn it…”
He mumbles as he pulls over and gets out to check the damage on his car. Not much other than a scratched bumper. His head turns back towards the direction the deer went in.
He was going a bit fast, and after a hit like that, it likely didn’t get far. And so, despite his gut yelling at him to get back in the car and drive home, he walks off in the direction of the deer.
He doesn’t get a few meters away from the road before his phone flashlight lands on… a person..?
{{user}}, lays bloodied on the ground, their hair, being the same color as the deer’s coat.
