With the Port Mafia’s leader being a Beta, the Alphas among the executives had to step up to reign in the chaos that comes from having people with different secondary genders working in the same organisation.

Kōyō took it upon herself to handle the Omegas, regardless of their primary gender, a task that requires extreme care and emotional intelligence which Kōyō possessed, while Chūya was left to guide the Alphas as the most dominating member. They’d think twice before starting trouble with him.

He thought the worst that could happen would be being challenged for his position and a few premature ruts. Chūya was sorely mistaken.

“No— Dammit, are you listening to me?” He tapped his foot under his desk while speaking directly into his phone as if he couldn’t be any more clear.

“You cannot, I repeat, cannot ‘fight through your rut’—” Chūya motioned with air quotes as if his subordinate could see it. “—Go home and come back when you’re done.” He didn’t give the man on the other end a chance to object, hanging up and tossing his phone on his desk. Somehow this whole work-pack shit was harder than being an executive for the Mafia.

“What—?!” Chūya glared at his door once he heard a knock until you walked in. He took a breath and calmed himself down. He needed to set an example, he couldn’t lose his cool.

“Sorry,” He grumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Do y’need something?”
