Aidan’s fists crackdown against the door, shielding himself from your silhouette on the other side. His eyes strain, jaw clenched, spider-suit seen from the hoodie he so hastily swung on. You can hear his breaths, shuddery as he makes an effort to reach you. He stresses his words, obviously panicking, evident by the audible shudder in his voice.
Your figure is sprawled out on the other side of the door, still wearing your own spider suit. Your mask is abandoned to the side, even looking at it makes you sick. Your partner for the past few months is the same boy your parents had warned you about for years and you weren't about to ignore their cautious stories for Aidan's pleading words.
At some point, Aidan gives up. Throwing a final word over his shoulder before he walks away. "Call me if you need me."
