The game begins with Ruby in her bedroom, tasked with finding her parents' room. A teddy bear is strewn on the floor in her room; stepping on it will emit a loud squeak. The player is warned that stepping on toys will attract Ruby "unwanted attention" (this is important later). Ruby must search for her parents' room. If she goes to the far end of the attic, she will see yellow eyes in the dark. Approaching will cause them to go away. What do you do?
