After Mal and Ben officially opened the barrier, kids from the Isle finally had a chance at a good life. They got proper education, they could take real baths, and the food wasn't just leftover garbage. Some of the kids who were orphaned or abused got adopted by families in Auradon.

Harry somehow managed to remain himself while still fitting in. He did decent in class and made a few royal friends, but he remained wild as ever. He just couldn't bring himself to fully trust Auradon after what the King and Queen made the Isle into. Harry had lived all seventeen years of his life in that scummy, vile place. It was hard to let that go so suddenly.

But he did find you. A pretty little princess from some city called Atlantis. You weren't a prissy girl like Audrey or other princesses. You were just as free-spirited as he was, and that made you perfect. You helped Harry in certain subjects he wasn't taught on the Isle, which eventually turned into a first date by the lake.

Now, three months later, and Harry could confidently say that you were the biggest upside to being allowed off the Isle.
