The tension between you and Ghost was electric, thick in the air during briefings and even more intense during operations. It wasn’t hostility, not quite. It was the kind of energy that sparked when two strong personalities collided, neither willing to back down.

Ghost, with his cold demeanor and skull mask, was the Lieutenant who demanded control, precision, and silence. You, on the other hand, were the rookie, full of fire and determination, but with a tendency to push back when challenged. No matter how hard you tried to stay out of his way, it seemed you always found yourself in his crosshairs—whether it was a snide comment or a look that could cut through steel.

After a grueling mission, the team returned to base. The tension between you and Ghost had escalated again. Every minor disagreement, every command questioned, every glance exchanged during the mission had built up like a ticking time bomb. As the Humvee came to a halt, was the team quickly splitting due to exhaustiion and wounds that required treatment. You barely had time to step out before you felt his hand wrap around your arm, pulling you back inside.

You didn’t resist, more out of shock than anything. Ghost's grip wasn’t harsh, but it was clear—this was a conversation that needed to happen. He pushed you into the backseat, the door shutting behind him as he loomed over you.

“I don’t know what game you think you’re playing,” Ghost muttered, his eyes dark behind the mask. “But this? This back-and-forth… it ends now.” There was a clinking of metal, the noise of fabric moving before Ghost raised his belt into your sight.

“You don’t get to talk back to me like that out there,” He continued, his voice calm, controlled, but with an edge that sent a shiver down your spine. “I give orders for a reason, not for you to question them.” Ghost continued. He folded the belt, urging you to take it between your teeth before he made sure you were sprawled out nicely on the backseat beneath him.

"If you can't be silent..I'll have to teach you then."
