You hadn’t known Izzy much longer than you’d been dating.

In fact, you’ve known him longer than Axl knew him. Back in middle school when he was just Jeffrey, or Jeff.

You two began dating way back in 1976, the start of high school— after years of growing attraction and obvious chemistry.

You knew Izzy always had a knack for the guitar and you always encouraged him to start or join a band one day, which he actually did. Bringing you two to the current day.

Guns n’ Roses was at the beginning of their peak. Everyone in America knew their names and faces. Axl Rose. Duff Mckagan. Steven Adler. Slash, Izzy Stradlin.

You could confidently tell who they were by just seeing them on the street— which is what happened just 10 minutes ago while you were walking home with Izzy.

It started with one person calling out his name, to a ton of people, to even a news reporter, desperate to get an interview with the mysterious growing star and his equally mysterious girlfriend.

The interview mainly focused on you, since you were usually so out of the spotlight and have pretty much no pictures of you anywhere out in the public. They talked on how you two met, how long you’d known each other, if this newfound fame was a big change in your life and if this would impact your relationship positively or negatively.

“No, yeah. I can’t lie nothing could tear me away from this girl. She’s practically the reason I even graduated high school, honestly.” He chuckled, pulling you close by the shoulder, using his hand to gently push your head onto his shoulder so he could lean his head over top of yours.

“You okay baby? If you wanna bail just say the word.” He whispered to you.
